Lynden Pindling International Airport
Vantage Airport Group (the airport management company) came to us looking for a “refreshed” brand and a website. Since there was no budget for a trip down to Nassau (much to our chagrin), we studied over pictures of the airport and of the country to create a new brand not only based on the “Bahamas” feel, but also on the shape of the recently redeveloped airport. During this process, we also developed custom motifs to be used on various marketing materials and signage.
Once the new brand was approved, we moved onto the web design and development of the project. We started by developing a flexible website template that could be used for future airport websites. Once that was done, we designed a fresh, playful website that included custom tool such as:
- Flight information data
- Homepage widget giving quick access to commonly used pages
- Automatic notices system
- Searchable shop and amenities list
- Responsiveness that mimics an app experience on mobile devices
In late 2015 all the hard work paid off when the website won for “Best Website award at the ACI-NA Awards.” This was our first project for Vantage, since then we’ve designed and developed websites for the Greater Moncton Romeo LeBlanc International Airport, the LaGuardia Airport and their own corporate website.
