So this time, Superflux calls and says hey we have this new beer, and for the naming and design, we’re thinking of some kind of desert play, you know, like mesas and sundrenched landscapes and shit, and Sean, who on the best of days will look you in the eye and listen for as long as an ice cube sits in the Arizona sun, goes sure, great, or else why don’t we totally not do that and instead take this other painting I just made and, like, transfer it to the can as if the can is a canvas, and the can will look like a painting, and since I used semi-gloss paint we’ll call it Superflux Semi-gloss IPA, and then Superflux is all, like, totally let’s do it, just not the part where Stu tags it “painting a picture of good taste” because that’s awful, but otherwise Superflux is cool with it, and they want to help us tie the project into our new gallery opening down the street from them in Strathcona and we’re so lucky to have them as clients and friends and neighbours.
