Creative Impact / Impact Investing publication
The creative economy of the United States represents a market of more than $800 billion. It accounts for over ten million jobs in fields such as visual arts, theatre, fashion, media, and design.
It is also an excellent place to invest. That’s where Upstart Co-Lab comes in. Upstart Co-Lab is a non-profit organization connecting a rising class of impact investors with entrepreneurs in the creative economy.
In partnership with Mitchell Press and their Design Teams initiative, and written by Aaron Bernardi, Creative Impact / Impact Investing is a publication exploring five entrepreneurs, two socially-minded investors, and Upstart Co-Lab’s role as a catalyst of conscious capital in the art world. The project was inspired by the idea that good design solves problems, makes our lives more fulfilling, and can be highly profitable.
The book feels editorial. It is expressive, gently paced, and easy to read. Each feature was created by a designer who took a story and treated it independently, with no consideration of the other stories. The result is a collection of vignettes held together by a neutral, grounded format.
